Title: value driven business

Proposal for a value driven business.
Jason Lasky 5th Feb. 2004

This document is intended to stimulate corporate policy declarations.

The company: Positive Directions for Life [ +>4Life ]
In response to 2 Vision Circle meetings and a business plan draft.

If +>4Life proposes its objectives are:

1. be a value driven business

2. provide wholistic health services

3. benefit shareholders (group 1)

4. benefit employees (group 2)

5. benefit external suppliers (group 3)

6. benefit customers (group 4)

7. grow the benefits it can provide.

How would +>4Life as a business:

1. describe its core values in human terms?

2. establish a value driven benefit structure?

3. develop its procedures in line with values?

4. communicate its goal to benefit all 4 groups?

5. readapt itself as sustainable while growable?

6. redefine itself according to its core values?

In response, I put forward a very powerful idea:

+>4Life insures all 4 groups experience all 4 groups as +>4Life.

Where experience is participation in +>4Life values and benefits.
Where the definition of values includes the real value of benefit.

In order to create an honestly and entirely value driven venture:

+>4Life must coordinate a 4 group value driven benefit structure.
This requires representation of everyone under their own values.

On the other hand if +>4Life chooses to do fully the otherwise:

To divide and hide the power or benefits of the various groups
it will further and endlessly falsify at every operative level.

Therefore I propose three powerful organizational practices:

1. employees, suppliers and customers hold company shares.
(wages, payments and rewards to include share options)

2. +>4Life employ an internal currency to trade its value.
(account credits and share options traded for services)

3. intelligent currency trading against company share value.
(managing all trade activity, currency import and export)

The Challenge: Declare Openly the Values Driving the Business.

Avoid Falsification that easily occurs with a growing rift
between the division of shares, power, services and currency.

Achieve Transparency of share ownership, benefits and governance.
These practices belong to a successful modern wholistic company.

Representation will give an open forum to every groups real values.
+>4Life can only realize its goals while considering its entirety.

When say external suppliers begin to over dominate company values
+>4Life as a whole must champion its employee and customer values.

The company +>4Life is itself the values it sells to the public:

+>4Life must clearly comprehend its value scales and boundaries.
As +>4Life understands its values it will trade value confidently.

+>4Life will Export its abundance of value as an abundant venture.
It will Import resonate values and alliances at every opportunity.

+>4Life must fully and openly declare partnership value suppliers:

1. health food & fitness service providers

2. health insurance - mutual fund management

3. mutual credit, banking & investment services

4. real property & asset financing & management

5. professional business & organization services

6. all qualification, training & support providers

Every partnership requires an open culture value compatibility.
When +>4Life lacks a suitable partnership then it develops one.

Limitations of a value driven company are a healthy declaration:

To the degree +>4Life is unable to maintain core values it must
be prepared to separate from any practice against its values.

Policy should not be first governed by legal defendability rather
by wholly considering +>4Life values and the people it benefits.
